Who We Are
Augusta Christian Schools was founded on Christian values in 1958. The school offers a kindergarten, elementary, middle and high school, as well as our Learning Support program for students with special learning needs. Our current enrollment is approximately 750 students. Over 100 churches from the area are represented in Augusta Christian Schools’ student population.
Augusta Christian School’s purpose is to provide a sound academic education with a Christian world-view. Our mission is to “prepare students to serve Jesus Christ as Lord, partnering with family and church, instilling high standards spiritually, academically, socially and physically.”
Our Vision Statement is “BUILDING KINGDOM LEADERS TO SERVE JESUS CHRIST AS LORD.” This vision statement is based on Philippians 2:9-11: “Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him a name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and of those on the earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
Augusta Christian Schools is an independent, non-denominational Christian school located in Martinez, a suburb of the beautiful city of Augusta, Georgia. Our 26 acre campus includes academic, fine arts and athletic facilities. The school is accredited with SACS/Cognia and the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and is a member of the South Carolina Independent School Association (SCISA) for participation in athletics and other interscholastic activities.
Some of our special offerings include our Medical Health Science program (three year program with CNA completion), a media class and our STEM Program.
We offer an outstanding fine arts program, and students may participate in three levels of band, two levels of choral groups, visual art classes, drama classes, and private piano and guitar lessons.
Students in grades 6-12 may participate in the following interscholastic sports: football, softball, cross country, basketball, cheerleading, baseball, track, tennis, soccer, swimming, volleyball, wrestling, scholastic shooting and golf.
Fine Arts and Athletics are introduced and coached from a Christian worldview perspective.
The school is incorporated as an educational, non-profit organization. The corporation operates under the direction of a Board of Directors. The Board determines policy, ensures that the vision, philosophy and objectives of the school are maintained, and ensures fiscal stability. The Board is committed to a relationship with home, church, and school in the growth and development of the child.
