The athletic program at Augusta Christian Schools seeks to teach our student-athletes from a Christian worldview perspective. Although we desire to field championship-level teams and strive to win in athletic competition, we are more interested in building kingdom leaders through life lessons learned in the arena of competition. Devotions, team prayer, and service projects are an integral part of the programs that we offer. Student-athletes are taught to reach within themselves to strive to excel, not for personal gain, but for the honoring of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Over 65% of our students participate in athletics on one of three levels: middle school, junior varsity and varsity. The following interscholastic sports are offered at Augusta Christian: football, softball, swimming, cross country, volleyball, basketball, wrestling, cheerleading, baseball, soccer, track, tennis and golf. ACS athletics have won 14 State Championships and 42 region titles in men’s basketball, baseball, cross country, football and tennis, and in women’s basketball, cross country, softball and track. Numerous college scholarships have been awarded to exceptional athletes throughout our athletic history.
Our facilities include a gymnasium, baseball field, football field, and Athletic Field House. The Field House includes a state-of-the-art weight room, collegiate-quality dressing rooms, offices, equipment storage space, and baseball concession stand
This one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.Philippians 3:13-14
